The price point of $299.99 is amazing here, especially throwing in Spider-Man for free.
Coming from a PS4 feels very easy and familiar, and I’m happy and encouraged to keep the PS4 as a secondary system.
The internal solid state hard drive performs so quickly and well compared to the hardware of the PS4. For example, I frequently play Diablo 4, and the performance increase is very noticable when there are a lot of enemies and heavy combat happening. Very smooth now compared to a little bit of lag on the PS4.
I’m excited to play more visually impressive games as I get to them, to truly see the graphical prowess the PS5 has to offer.
I’ll leave with a few key points I learned about the PS5 for potential new users:
An external hard drive is connectable via USB, just like the PS4, however this can only hold PS4 games.
The internal solid state drive can be upgraded with specifically approved heat sink drives, but this requires a little more under the hood installation.
The PS5 itself has a tendency to run a little hot, especially under load of a demanding game. I would wholeheartedly recommend adding extra cooling. I added a $20 exhaust fan to the back and sat it on a $20 laptop fan.
Last but not least, consider that the PS5 pro will most likely release during holiday season ’24, so you may want to consider waiting for a possible further price decrease here.

I like the console. The performance is amazing, you can feel it in your eyes.
However, the posh, organic-ky-looking exterior design didn’t think about users who wanted it to be laid down horizontally, so they made a half-assed attempt to fix it with some small stand-like attachments you have to stick in the middle on the side. It’s a silly solution but whatever. I just think that this thing was never designed to be mounted horizontally, so I’ll never use those, end of story.
The DualSense controller is also so feature-rich that I think contributes to its slightly faster battery drain compared to its predecessors. Just saying.
Also, is that Spiderman thing supposed to be a playable game or just a design on the box? There was never any instruction on how to get the game. No promo code in the box, and on the Store (online), it says I have to buy the game for $69.99. Not very easy to figure out.

I am absolutly loving my new PS5 – Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Bundle! The console is so slim and sleek, it looks awsome on my entertainment center. The graphics are insane, I feel like I’m right there in the game. Spider-Man 2 is such a great game, the story is so immersiv and the gameplay is so much fun.
The only reason I’m not giving it a full 5 stars is because the controller can be a bit glitchy sometimes, and I wish it had a bit more storage space. But other than that, I’m totally stoked on this purchase. If you’re a Spider-Man fan or just looking for a sick gaming experiance, definatly recomend this bundle!

There’s little I can add to professional reviews that hasn’t been said in the gaming/tech news, other than that delivery was quick, and that I wish the same could be said for the game’s digital download schtick – I can’t get the code to work, and to say the inclusion of a $70.00 or so game didn’t influence my purchase decision would be something of a historical revision.
I’m pleased with the product, moreso the hardware than software, but accept that there’s a learning-curve for the latter, one Sony seems genuinely eager to help us to master.
I’m looking forward to spending more time with the device, and am delighted by the opportunity to keep PlayStation in my life.

My Playstation 5 Slim arrived quickly and in good condition. The playstation itself is a wonderful product and very much an improvement over previous Playstation generations. The console seems to be far more responsive than my Xbox Series X and the adaptive triggers on the new Dual Shock controllers actually live up to the hype when the developers integrate those features into games. I highly recommend this console.
